The band was founded in 1991.
Today, Jazz GmbH is one of the most important representatives of the Valais jazz scene, with a wide-ranging presence beyond the cantonal and national borders over the past 33 years.
For ‘Kultur Zermatt’, Jazz GmbH will present a repertoire that covers all styles of jazz.
Stefan Ruppen, one of the founders of Jazz GmbH, is still involved on the piano.
The current line-up also includes: Alex Rüedi: saxophone / flute / clarinet, Hermann Biner: trombone, Patrick Jean: electric bass, Joel Schmidt: saxophone / flute, and Michael Steiner: trumpet.
